When we heard from Margaret Wilson that she and her friend Jan Haslam intended to jump out of a plane on our behalf, little did we know the story she had to tell!
In Margaret’s own words…
First and foremost my sister-in-law Lisa Tipper (who is doing a Triathlon Sprint for Funding Neuro at the end of May) is Daisy Brooks’ God Mother, and this is one of the reasons we chose Funding Neuro!
I am 54 years old, my friend of 30 years and fellow fundraiser Jan is 52. I was diagnosed with invasive Breast Cancer three years ago, if it wasn’t for the fundraising for research into this I probably wouldn’t be here, therefore I consider myself lucky.
Jan and I held a “quiz night” a “line dancing night” and did a “skydive” all of which we enjoyed. I particularly enjoyed the skydive (discovered I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie), and would highly recommend doing one! Jan on the other hand was glad to get her feet back on solid ground.
Although she would never do one again, she was thrilled she managed to do it!
The instructor did say ‘the pilot is the only one to come down in the plane”.
So we had no option, we had to jump!!
Our grateful thanks to Margaret & Jan for their amazing efforts,
and not least for raising the fabulous amount of £2,936.00!!!
